Kollaboration San Francisco is proud to present its 8th annual showcase, “Back to Basics”, happening on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Our featured 2019 finalists are musical acts Rachel Bergado, Chase Blu, Harry Liu, Andre Nuestro, and Containher, who will compete for a chance to advance to the national Kollaboration STAR showcase in Fall 2019. The night will also feature a special performance by Rudy Kalma who is a Filipino-American artist and songwriter. Since being a 2017 finalist, Rudy has continued to perform in spaces all across the Bay area and released two projects, “Labor of Love” in 2018 and “What A Time” in 2019. Special guest judges (Rudy Kalma and more) will choose this year’s winner. Tickets are currently on sale and more information about both the event and performing artists will be released as the date draws closer.

Kollaboration San Francisco is proud to hold events such as this showcase in order to promote our mission of “Empowerment Through Entertainment.” Since its founding in 2000, Kollaboration has been a leader in the Asian/Pacific Islander (API) community, as a non-profit organization promoting API talents in entertainment by providing a platform for these talents. Through its work, Kollaboration hopes to minimize the under-representation and stereotyping that the API community endures in the mainstream media. Along with our recently launched podcast, Gold & Great, the annual showcase is one of many programs we’re hosting this year to celebrate Kollaboration San Francisco’s 10 year anniversary.
